Phillip A. Wilson
Mathematician • Holistic Health Pioneer • Sauna Innovator
Born in Gary, Indiana in 1948, Phillip “Phil” Wilson excelled early as a math prodigy—placing 2nd–4th in state-level National Math Exams during his youth. He graduated with honors in mathematics from Indiana University and completed five years of graduate studies at Ohio State, working toward a Ph.D.
Awakening & Health Path
In 1970, Phil experienced a profound out‑of‑body vision followed by a Kundalini awakening in 1971, which sparked a deep awareness of energy, nutrition, and holistic wellbeing. Guided by this revelation, he embraced fasting, yoga, meditation, herbal medicine, and pure nutrition, determined to help others expand their perceptions of health and personal freedom.
Founding Momentum98
In 1976, Phil launched a business selling herbal remedies. By 1980, he opened Awareness & Health Unlimited in Columbus, Ohio, offering a broad range of wellness products. In 1998, it was rebranded as Momentum98 Natural Health Store, marking over four decades in integrative health leadership.
Transforming Health with Infrared Saunas
Phil discovered the Relax Far‑Infrared Sauna in 2002—a pinnacle technology in his wellness journey. Using daily since 2001, he developed deep experiential knowledge of its benefits. For over 22 years, Phil has introduced semiconductor-based far‑infrared therapy at more than 500 conferences, educating hundreds of thousands of health professionals and consumers on detoxification, pain relief, and enhanced vitality.
